BECOMING A NEW CREATURE

We can find a new way of living and being. Do you want to get rid of the old way and have more happiness? Scriptures describe this process as ‘crucifying the old man’, and becoming dead to sin. Being dead to sin is a process of NOT allowing sin (hurt, hate, greed, lust) live within our mind as well as NOT allowing it to affect our actions. Through God, we can destroy our old patterns of thinking and doing things. Our former conversation (patterns) can change and we can become a new creature, alive to God.

Romans 6:11 Likewise reckon ye also yourselves to be dead indeed unto sin, but alive unto God through Jesus Christ our Lord.

2 Corinthians 5:17 Therefore if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature: old things are passed away; behold, all things are become new.

My Prayer

Dear God,
Please teach me YOUR ways. Show me how to destroy the old patterns of thinking and doing things through your power of grace. Make me a new creature. Please bring your good spirit of faith, love, and kindness within me. Please increase my knowledge and understanding of you. Help me to guide my actions with your spirit of wisdom and righteousness. Amen
