Are you going to go “here or there” to physically look for him? Christ said go not! He said not to believe if they tell you he is here or there. Why? Because his coming will be a spiritual coming; he will be formed within us. Christ’s own words about this are recorded in Luke, Mark, and Matthew. In Luke, he also said that the Kingdom of God is within us. In Mark he says not to go looking if someone says “here is Christ”. In Matthew, it is clear that he does not want us to look around for him on earth; his coming will be more like lightning or an enlightenment.
Luke 17: 20-23 And when he was demanded of the Pharisees, when the kingdom of God should come, he answered them and said, The kingdom of God cometh not with observation: Neither shall they say, Lo here! or, lo there! for, behold, the kingdom of God is within you. And he said unto the disciples, The days will come, when ye shall desire to see one of the days of the Son of man, and ye shall not see it. And they shall say to you, See here; or, see there: go not after them, nor follow them.
Mark 13:21 And then if any man shall say to you, Lo, here is Christ; or, lo, he is there; believe him not:
Matthew 24:25-27 Behold, I have told you before. 26 Wherefore if they shall say unto you, Behold, he is in the desert; go not forth: behold, he is in the secret chambers; believe it not. 2 For as the lightning cometh out of the east, and shineth even unto the west; so shall also the coming of the Son of man be.
My Prayer
Heavenly Father, Please bring to me your spirit of wisdom and understanding. Please help me to see the coming of Christ. Amen
