THERE IS HOPE FOR A BETTER TOMORROW
We CAN be renewed in the spirit of our minds. This means we no longer must have bad thoughts and emotions within our minds. We can find a new way of living and being. There is hope for more happiness. There is hope for a better tomorrow. We can get rid of the old way of thinking. God wants to help us.
Scriptures describe this process of change as ‘crucifying the old man’, and becoming dead to sin. We can put off the former conversation (manner of life) of the old man, which is our old patterns of thinking and doing things, i.e. former conversation. When we are under grace, we become “dead to sin” and it no longer has dominion over us. Our former conversation can change, and we can become a new creature/creation, having good thoughts and actions.
Ephesians 4:21 If so be that ye have heard him, and have been taught by him, as the truth is in Jesus: 22 That ye put off concerning the former conversation the old man, which is corrupt according to the deceitful lusts; 23 And be renewed in the spirit of your mind;
My Prayer
Dear God,
Please come into my life and into my mind. Please teach me how to remove the former conversation or bad thoughts and emotions living in my mind and having their way in my life. Please have your way in my life. Amen
