What Does God Teach Us About Workmanship

We are to be diligent in our work!  We need God’s spirit of zeal to fight procrastination, laziness, and thoughts and feelings that keep us from working hard!  We also need the internal knowledge and tools to be able to work well with others.  We need the skills to do a good job.  There are scriptures that show us God can help us with knowledge, understanding, and workmanship that we need within our lives physically as well as spiritually.  Ask God for help, having faith that he will give all the things we ask for.  We must be ready to practice and work what God gives us!

Exodus 31:3-5 And I have filled him with the spirit of God, in wisdom, and in understanding, and in knowledge, and in all manner of workmanship,  To devise cunning works, to work in gold, and in silver, and in brass, And in cutting of stones, to set them, and in carving of timber, to work in all manner of workmanship.

Pro. 13:4 The soul of the sluggard desireth, and hath nothing: but the soul of the diligent shall be made fat.

Pro. 24:33, 34 Yet a little sleep, a little slumber, a little folding of the hands to sleep: So shall thy poverty come…

2 Ch. 15:7 Be ye strong therefore, and let not your hands be weak: for your work shall be rewarded.

Today’s prayer

God, Please fill me with zeal, dedication to my work, obedience, sobriety, strength, and workmanship.  I pray that I let you guide me.  Amen
