He would cast out devils. Does casting out devils sound like something beyond what you have practiced before? JESUS DID IT! Jesus cast devils out of people AND HE TAUGHT HIS APOSTLES TO CAST OUT devils. He then told them to go out and teach others this message and to cast out devils.
Casting out devils is actually casting out thoughts that we have taken into our minds. We can cast out imaginations (or thoughts) that reside in our hearts (minds).
Proverbs 6:18 An heart that deviseth wicked imaginations, feet that be swift in running to mischief.
God realized the evil condition of man’s thoughts. He devised a plan to have Christ bring the spirit of grace for that evil condition.
Genesis 6:5 And GOD saw that the wickedness of man was great in the earth, and that every imagination of the thoughts of his heart was only evil continually.
Jesus taught this practice of casting out devils (putting off) to his disciples.
Matthew 10:5 These twelve Jesus sent forth, and commanded them, saying… 10:8 Heal the sick, cleanse the lepers, raise the dead, cast out devils: freely ye have received, freely give.
