There are many phases of God’s spirit.  Faith is one of those phases of spirit.  We can ask God to increase our faith and faith WILL grow within us.  Believing is faith.

Hebrews 11:1  Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen.

Faith is necessary in healing, whether it is an immediate healing or a gradual healing.  When using the gift of healing, Jesus often taught that it was their faith that made them whole.  Examples of that:

Matthew  9:29 Then touched he their eyes, saying, According to your faith be it unto you.

Mark 5:34 And he said unto her, Daughter, thy faith hath made thee whole; go in peace, and be whole of thy plague.

God wants us to utilize his fruits of the spirit.  When faith is utilized, we do not just feel as if we believe.  We begin a “knowing” and a witnessing within our soul.  Without faith, it is impossible to please God.  Hebrews 11:6 6 But without faith it is impossible to please him: for he that cometh to God must believe that he is, and that he is a rewarder of them that diligently seek him.

Faith will help us lay hold on God’s truths and spirit.  Christ will dwell in our hearts by faith.

Ephesians 3:16-17 That he would grant you, according to the riches of his glory, to be strengthened with might by his Spirit in the inner man; That Christ may dwell in your hearts by faith; that ye, being rooted and grounded in love.

God has shown us in times past that he works miracles through faith.  Through faith, Sara received strength to conceive seed.  We are able to mix our faith with love, mercy, and other fruits of God’s spirit.  Scriptures show us that we can find our way – our walk – with faith.  May God increase your faith!

2 Corinthians 5:7 For we walk by faith, not by sight.  We can pray continuously that God increases our faith.

1 Thessalonians 5:17 Pray without ceasing.
