Trust
Proverbs 3:5 Trust in the LORD with all thine heart…
Luke 10:19 Behold, I give unto you power to tread on serpents and scorpions, and over all the power of the enemy: and nothing shall by any means hurt you.
Matthew 7:7-8 Ask, and it shall be given you; seek, and ye shall find; knock, and it shall be opened unto you: For every one that asketh receiveth; and he that seeketh findeth; and to him that knocketh it shall be opened.
Trust is a fruit of God’s spirit. God wants us to trust in him. God will help us fight thoughts of worry and mistrust thoughts. We can trust in God to help us GROW trust within us. God assures us in the scriptures that he is right there with us. If bad things have power in the world around us, we can have trust to know that God has more power than all the bad. We can trust God for help. He knows much more than we do, and we can trust God to know what we need and give us what we need. We can trust God in every avenue of our life. We can ask God and trust him to guide us in everything from choosing a new job to what outfit to wear today.
Knowing God is always there is like an “easy chair”. We know it is there and we can go to it to feel comfortable and relax. We can think of God that way, go to Him and trust that he is there. He is always there, waiting to provide us comfort.
God sends others into our lives. We can ask God to help us witness to the God in them and help us feel the God in them. Through Him, we can grow our trust in the God dwelling in others. We can make it our practice to pray to God every day to help us trust him. Trust in the LORD with all your heart!
